On our cycle tour of the area we were introduced to the oldest couple in the village. They've celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary and still tend their extensive market garden.

Despite his minute size, the old man was a Viet Cong soldier and fought both the French and the Americans. They have a photo of Ho-Chi-Minh in pride of place in their home.
