Mission Beach...You come here for one thing and one thing only...to complete a mission!
My mission was to hurl myself out of an airplane at 14,000ft! Before commencing this trip I did not have the desire or nerve to attempt such a feat; in fact I had even become anxious of flying in recent years, but travelling does such wonders for your psychic, your mind begins to open, your confidence increases and your inhibitions begin to run free. It's a pecuilar feeling, like your 14 again with not a care in the world, ready to take on anything, fear no longer becomes a factor.
Having said all this, I did indeed drink a bottle of wine the evening before just to calm my nerves and I was wide awake at 6am in the morning apprehensive about the day ahead. I spent the next few hours with a nervous smile planted on my face. Fortunately I wasn't alone and had my new travel companion to hold my hand and ensure me that everything was going to be alright. I had resigned myself to the fact that I had to do this no matter what, I had told too many people to back out now and my pride at stake; oh and of course if Adam can do it, then I can!
However as I stepped foot onto the small light aircraft I was engulfed by calm. By body felt almost numb as the planed climbed higher, the earth dissapearing through the clouds.
14,oooft and I'm first to go, ready set go!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Falling at 120mph freefalling through the sky, my heart racing, incredible, on top of the world!!!!!! WOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!
It wasn't scary at all, in fact the total opposite, such a rush yet I felt so safe, it's so difficult to discribe, I felt at peace so pecuilar! I want to do it AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right mission completed what next?
