Hey, so the first tournament is already over... Good news: We made it to the knockouts (very close). Bad news: We were knocked out in the first match (not that close ;-) ). The pairs tournament has already started and we will drop in the day after tomorrow - so due to our bad play today we will have a free day tomorrow and then try to win the pairs :) In the meantime we moved into another hotel which is much closer to the playing area, has a really nice break...

Heyho! Today is already my last day in Vietnam, although it is by no means the end of this adventure. Tomorrow at 5:30 am I will take a taxi to the airport and fly via Guangzhou to Sanya, where I will try to play some bridge :) When I wrote the last entry we were still in Halong Bay. Hey all! After our last (and longest) night in a night train we arrived this morning at 4:30 am in Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, and took a private bus to Halong Bay. I am glad that we don't have another night train journey. This one took 13 hours (3:30 pm yesterday till 4:30 am today) and although our compartment was all right, the restrooms (or "happyroom" how they use to call it here - because you are happy to find one and happy after you have left it) were real...
