Today we went to a small island off the coast of Mumbai called Elephanta Island. This island has large temples carved right into the rock of the mountain. The island got its name from a large elephant statue that was found there. There are no elephants on this island but we did see many monkeys. They were not shy to walk up to visitors with food and steal whatever snack right from their hands!!!!
