Buenos Dias!
So here we are, off on our travels again. We left home at 3am on Friday morning, and by the time we got to our hotel here last night it was 3am Saturday morning (by UK time), so we were pretty tired. Tony had also started a heavy cold on Thursday, so felt really groggy all day. No 'in-seat entertainment screens' on the Iberia flight from Madrid, which was a shame. Had to watch a film called 'We bought a zoo' shown on a very small screen hanging down form the centre of the plane, then spent the rest of the time reading, dozing, drinking water and walking backwards and forwards to the toilet. Very tedious. When we landed in B.A. , while we were waiting to disembark, I saw a lady who had been sitting accross the aisle from us, coming back to her seat carrying a small plastic bowl of water. Being nosy, I carried on watching, as she lifted a large hold all bag up onto her seat, and as she unzipped it, out popped the head of a small brown dog!! Well, I didn't expect that! It seemed very glad of the bowl of water, as you would if you'd been under the seat in a plane for nearly 13 hours!
Buenos Aires has very wide roads - 7-lane dual carriageway avenues with a 2-lane road each side of them. I hope there's a little green man to help me accross the road! Our hotel is basic, clean and comfortable, has free wi-fi and is very central, so off now to see the sights. Tony is getting on very well with his Spanish, he just says 'perfecto' all the time and it seems to get him by! More later, Hasta Luego!
