Maria's 2006-7 Round the World Trip
Hello from the Cameron Highlands!
It took over 7 hours for us to get here up windy roads - really not the most exciting journey I have done in my life but the temperature is like UK spring so its really refreshing compared to the constant 35 degrees we've had. There isn't a lot to do here except visit the restaurants in the evening but we were happy to find that the group is in an apartment so we have decided to have a night in and watch the football, fingers crossed.
The cameron highlands are famous for strawberries and tea plantations, both of which we visited. I didn't realise so much went into making tea. I wanted to buy some but I won't be allowed to take it into Oz. The views were spectacular and although its just a short stop over I thought it was worth it.
Well fingers crossed for the boys tonight......... although can't say I am that confident. Got a 1pm start tomorrow so I'm looking forward to a few bevvies tonight.
