Hi guys

Just got back to the hostel feeling shattered went out sightseeing at 8am and am now ready for a beer!!!

Montreal is a beautiful place lots of lovely old buildings and tons of churches,the best one being the Basilique de Notre dame. It is probably one of the most beautiful churches we have ever been into.The artwork and detail around the altar was stunning.We have walked miles today and the weather has been good,had a walk around Vieux Montreal (Old Town) this is lovely very french with a replica Nelsons Column but not as tall as London.Also visited Chinatown,the Latin Quarter and Rue St Catherine (the main street)

We move onto Quebec tomorrow it should take about 3 hours on the train all being well. The hostel we are in at the moment is lovely - really clean and friendly and the age range is much more mixed than the last one which was a bit young and trendy for us oldies.

We are off over to the sports bar tonight for tea we went for a few drinks there last night and watched hockey which is a strange game.
