Didn't get a good nights sleep last night. I seem to have picked up a bug and am aching all over(just like when I had my rabies jab!!)

Took the bus from Lavender Street Terminal for the 5 hour journey to Malacca in Malaysia. We had to clear immigration in Singapore then drive down the road, disembark the bus with all our luggage and enter Malaysia. The whole process was straight forward and there were police with semi automatics everywhere!!!

Got to the central station for 3pm and the ATM's would not give us any money luckily we had enough Singapore dollars to get us a cab into town once they were changed with the money man. We ended up sharing a cab with a couple that we met on the bus so it cost us 1 pound each for the cab ride!!!!

We had a quick look around and then got showered and I tried to sleep off my aches and pains, which did work to some degree. Headed out in the evening to look around but it seems that most things shut up at 7pm we ended up chatting to a Brummy guy in a bar and got lots of tips for our journey north as he had come the other way so we were able to help him with Australia and New Zealand.

Just back at our beautiful hostel it's an old Dutch House built in 1637 and has been renovated to house 20 guests but is just like a hotel. It is called Twenty and is right on the main Jonker Street in Malacca which looks to be an amazing place but will have more to report tomorrow if the aches and pains stay away!!!!(don't panic Mum I will be fine Mel is being her usual sympathetic self!!!
