Ni Hao The snow stopped falling yesterday and the big thaw started making all the roads and paths really slushy. After an immense lie in and a late lunch we took the short walk into the city for a look around the Bell Tower. This building is around 700 years old and was built in the Tang Dynasty. Ni Hao Well the snow is still falling here in Xi'an and our day started at 8am with breakfast and I had tea in a gin and tonic glass!!! Our guide collected us and off we went.The first place we visited was an old village. Ban Po dates back more than 6000 (4500 BC) years ago and here we saw old village settlements and some graves dating back to that period. Depending on how people died dictated which way they were buried. Face up=normal death, Face down=tragedy...

Ni Hao Arrived at the train station last night to board the overnight train to Xi'an (15 hours) there seemed to be another 4000 people wanting the same train and we both have never seen a train station so busy. We seemed to miss out on our soft sleeper lounge and presumed they didn't have one till we boarded the train and saw the comfy lounge through our window looking right back at us!!!! As usual the train left bang on time and we cracked open a beer to pass...
