Today I got up at 7am although I was woken by birds chirping at about 5:30am. We headed by van to a cemetry just outside Nasca where people were buried in tombs hundreds of years ago and some of the tombs were opened up so you could see the skeletons. Pretty freaky stuff! We had a tour there by a local guide who knew an amazing amount of information about the area and the tombs.

Next we headed to Nasca airport to wait for our flight over the Nasca lines. I was in an 8 seater plane (including the pilot). We flew over many of the different lines including: whale, triangles, trapezoids, astronaut, monkey, dog, condor, spider, hummingbird, alcatraz, parrot, tree and hands. They were all amazing and the flight was really cheap for the 40 minutews we spent in the air (around NZ$100).

We then headed into Nasca town and got some lunch and then headed back to the hotel for a swim in the pool and sunbathing. Just getting ready now for a night bus to arequipa from 10pm for 9 hours tonight. Having some dinner and maybe Karaoke first.
