Travelling to Kamala
The night crossing went well, had taken the seasickness pills and a sleeping pill. It was a very tight squeeze in the boat, rows & rows of mattresses. I did notice that where the 'foreigners' slept, it was like three to a double mattress size, yet on the other side in was only two to a double bed! Cheek! We had checked in (online) to the best room we had all holiday. Aircon, modern, huge walk in shower and separate toilet. The weather was still very good. Spent the day on a beautiful beach. This was in another ocean and the waves were huge. We had lots of sun and fun all day. Chloe got chatted up by a 'reggae' man, who offered her a night out & drugs ha ha. She obviously refused, but he was a bit of a nuisance all day. Every time he came over to 'alter the parasol', we went into the sea ha ha. Kamala was quite deserted (apart from locals), it seemed they were already shutting down as the season was ended. Great beach (the best) but no nightlife. Most of the bars were full of Thai girls!! Would love to return here in full season. The 'nice' lady, who had checked us in and looked after us, booked us a taxi to the airport. She also let us stay in the room until 2pm. I thought she was ever so nice. However….. Whilst we were waiting, we nipped out for 5 minutes to get some water for the journey. When we returned the 'nice' lady had her keys in our door!!! She came running out to say she was going to clean! Yeh right, of course she was!
