Day 59 - Legian, Bali
Well that sea air must really take it out of you cause we both didn't wake up until 11 this morning (could have had something to do with the alcohol as well I suppose).
We were both starving so headed for some breakfast/lunch and feeling a bit adventurous we both decided to sample another Indonesian meal. I had the chicken noodles and Si had the same but with meat balls (very questionable looking meat balls) they were both nice but very filling! Si also ordered a mixed fruit ice drink, expecting it to be a bit like a slushy at home ... we were wrong. It was loads of crushed ice with coconut milk and chunks of coconut and mango at the bottom, it was gorgeous but very filling, I waited for Si to say he was too full before kindly offering to finish off the coconut for him .. aren't I kind :)
We did a bit more research for the Gili's since we'll be there in a few days before going down to the main strip for some food and plenty of drinks! I decided to sample the beef satay (very nice) and Si had Mahi Mahi which was a local white fish with some sort of sweet chilli sauce, he really liked it and although I'm not a lover of fish I have to say I would probably order it if we went there again so it must have been good!
Feeling quite drunk we began the stagger home but got tempted by one of the last bars and decided we should go in for a cocktail. It was the strongest cocktail I've ever had they may as well of not put the mixer in it cause it just tasted like pure alcohol! The cocktail well and truely finished us off so we continued back to the hotel and called it a night.
