Today was Disneyland day!
To celebrate Phillip's birthday since it was today, we all headed out to spend the day at Disneyland Paris, and so we got up early to catch the train and headed to the ticket booth. Rasam and I already bought our tickets in line but Ellen and Phillip hadn't, so we waited in line.
Once we got in, our first ride was Space Mountain - and it was better than California's Space Mountain. It was so much fun and tears literally were falling out of my eyes from the amount of laughter induced by the thrill of the ride. It was so much fun. We then got to go on Star Wars, Big Thunder Mountain, Indian Jones (which sucked), Pirates of the Carribbean (another disappointment), and It's a Small World (which was amazing!). But other than the rides, Disneyland didn't feel like Disneyland. The workers were kind of rude, the music in the rides wasn't present or was really low to hear, and the spirit of Disneyland just wasn't there.
Nonetheless, it was a great day, despite it raining all afternoon. I was with great friends so that was all that mattered. Walking around and seeing the different styles and Disney characters was a great way to just relax after been sight seeing all weekend. We were also able to see the Paris version of World of Color - which was pretty awesome and great to end the night.
After Disneyland, we headed home on the train, in which we met a lady from New York who also felt the same way about Disneyland and how it didn't feel like any of the Disneyland parks in America. It was nice talking to her. Once we got home, we began consuming the leftover food we had. We drank wine, beer and pretty much slept at 3am. I didn't even pack, even though we were leaving for Amsterdam the next day. But nonetheless, it was great night.
