Katie, David, Gemma and David were staying as well so we spent the day in Taupo and walked to the visitor centre and to the lake. It was a gorgeous day and we chilled by the lake for a bit which was really gorgeous and you could see the national park off in the distance. We then headed back to the hostel and made some lunch and spent the afternoon chilling in the garden enjoying the gorgeous sunshine. Later on we did a group dinner and made a delicious curry with chocolate mud pie for dessert. Katie and David got chatting to 3 American doctors and one of them took a look at my ankle. He was telling me he could advise which tendons or ligaments he thought I had pulled (very technical) but basically only rest will heal my ankle and basically he said the more I walk on it the longer it will take, so no crossing for me. They were really funny and nice guys. He was actually telling me he had dislocated his shoulder the week before on a walk 3 hours into it and had a few more hours to go. He had slipped and knocked it out, but he did do it a few times playing sports. If you don't want to read the sordid details of how he did it the last time then stop reading this now!! The last time he did it was when he was actually going south on a girl she shifted her weight and pop out the shoulder went. Apparently he started saying 'f***, f***' and she said but hey we already did that. Of course he was actually in pain but it was really amusing. She had to take him up to the A&E to get it put back in. He had us in stitches with this story.
The next day David and Katie were hoping to leave but there was not enough space on the bus so they were stuck with us for another day. I spent part of the day working on my blog and chilling out. We got chatting to the Dutch guy in my room and he asked me and Katie if it was normal for girls to leave massive wet patches in the bed after sex.. we concluded she must of peed herself! Highly amusing to see his face after that :)Later on the Stray bus came back through and dropped off some of the people who had jumped off earlier so it was cool to catch up with them. We then went and did a group shop to make a bangers and mash dinner. There were 8 of us eating it so it was lovely and we all chipped in and had jobs so we called it a family dinner. We had a few beers and spent the evening chatting and hanging out.
