Hey! So as per request by my Aunty Maura (hello!) i'm updating, and too right I haven't done this in ages i'm just realising.
So as you can see from my location i'm now in Darwin. Clare and I were in Melbourne and decided it just got too cold so we decided to head north! Randomly we arrived in Darwin the same day as Kirby and Ceilidh and so got the same room in a hostel which was really good.
Leaving Melbourne was sad because I had really settled and really like it but then I think maybe we were getting too settled so it was probably time to move on. Leaving everyone in the deli was sad too cuz I love them all to bits and really enjoyed my time there.
So the flight up was in the middle of the night and seriously turbulent but hey we are here now.
Darwin is such a party town, its kind of like Ibiza or Aiya napa but it Oz. Clare and I are living in the hostel Melaleuca which is really nice. Clare is working for the car hire company Thrifty doing admin stuff and I'm working in a really nice bar called the Tap on Mitchell street, making cocktails and having fun. The odd day I do some car detailing for Clares car company which is sweet work. The only problem with Darwin is that you do wayyyy to much partying and do bnothing but recover infront of the pool all day especially if you are off work! which really I shouldnt be complaining about but there isn't much else to do here!
Soon Clare and I will be heading into the outback to a farm to do some regional work but will be a really good money saver but seriously remote and i'm a little worried... no... REALLY worried about the snakes and spiders :s hopefully I will survive.
There are also loads of crocodiles here in Darwin, I mean you can go into the sea at the beach or into lakes, pretty much no body of water at all!!! The crocs here are also ENORMOUS!! I went to a croc zoo thing and they are sooo big, i'm pretty sure they could eat me in one gulp which might not be so satisfying for them.
I will try to get more photos up soon, its just I have to do them one at a time which is a pain in the ass! but i will try.
Over and out...
