Driving between the Anzac Memorial Centre and The Whaling Station, was an absolutely stunning area in the Torndirrup National Park, called The Gap, which was just awesome.
Lookouts at both the Gap and natural Bridge provide outstanding views of the Southern Ocean and the coast from Bald Head to West Cape Howe.
There is a fairly new viewing platform 40 metres directly above the ocean. Previously visitors used to walk out onto the "Natural Bridge" which spanned across the ocean. And once again, sanity prevailed and the new viewing platform and walkways were built, to save people from themselves!
The new solid, accessible pathway and viewing area of the Natural Bridge provides a less confronting but still impressive window to one of Australia's most exposed coasts.
The views were amazing, and the design of the lookout reminded me a little of our very famous Sea Cliff Bridge.
What a wonderful country we live in - spectacular scenery and the ingenuity of engineers to continue to provide safe viewing areas for all to enjoy it.
