Wednesday 31st May It was a very cold morning, but the day eventually turned warm and sunny. We drove 352 kms on the Great Eastern Highway to Kalgoorlie. Monday 29th May Off to Mukinbudin (or Mukka to the locals) today. 360km on the National Highway, and what an absolutely beautiful drive it was. The awesome salmon gums, mallee and wheatfield after wheatfields. This area is known as The Wheatbelt Way. Mukinbudin is in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia and is famous for it's wheat and sheep farming. Tuesday 23rd May It was not far for us to go to Freemantle, or Freo to the locals. After a GP visit for me (UTI) then booked into Woodman Park Caravan Park. Wednesday 17th May We settled into the Mandurah Tourist Park and it was just amazing. We were shown to our site by the Manager, who then helped us park and then asked where the power and water were. Monday 15th May - Vasse Felix Spent a drizzly, nippy day at Vasse Felix Winery and joined their wine club so we could taste their prize Cabernet Sauvignon , which sells for a mere $160. We then sat by the fire, enjoyed a delicious cheese platter and a complimentary glass of wine of our choice. Too good. A lovely way to spend a drizzly afternoon.
