Sounds like you are having quite an adventure...though I am glad you got off that boat safely and to a hotel (even if it was a bit skanky...we have that to look forward to!).
We have just been to rio dulce and are heading to tikal tomorrow...really excited about that.

The house looks good mate! When you told us it was 4 walls, a door and a window you weren't lying were you?! Iguess they'll make it home soon enough though. I'm guessing by now you must hve nearly completed house number 2 by now?!
Your building work has inspired me too now, I've even been doing a bit of decorating - on more than pots and cucumber tho!
The volcano looks amazing! make sure you take lots of pics to show us when you get back.

Don't worry I do have some food and there are also supermarkets here!! We have finished the first house - was amazing and so touching to hand the keys over to the family. The husband gave a little speech and was nearly in tears because they are so poor and to have a brick house means so much to them and their children.
We start our next project tomorrow and will spend today painting houses...
