Hey everyone! Hope you are all well! I cannot believe it is the end of the second week already - the time is flying past so quickly. Last weekend I went to Lake Atitlan with Kate and Shana. It was really beautiful and we were staying in a lovely hotel with hot water, clean comfortable beds and lots of scrumptious food! We had our own guide who took us on a boat trip across to Santiago (lots of markets, churches etc). Lake Atitlan is huge, roughly 130 square kms...

Well, I have just finished my first week of house building in Antigua and can honestly say that I have never worked so hard in my life but am really loving it! I arrived late on Sunday evening and moved into a local Guatemalan family home. The accommodation is very basic and the host family place strict rations on light, water and food. I am just pleased that I have finally figured out how to get hot water from the shower at last!! It's quite cold in the evenings...
