I think the picture describes my situation aptly and appropriately... Pretty much what I've been up to the last couple of days, hanging about, curing my jetlag, checking out some of the more famous places in Argentina like the massive Freudian-complex penis they have erected (every possible pun intended), the pink house instead if the white house (I knew Latin America would be a bit gay, but the house of governance being pink is just...) and the national museum of history. So a bit of culture and history, after many weeks of just partying and adventuring. To add to the bourgeois-upper-class aristocrat I've been feeling like the past days, I went on a free guided tour around town, the same model as the one I've done in Sydney and Paris. And the best thing about them is that the guide really does have the extra incentive to make it their own and really interesting, because if they don't, they won't make much money. So they are indiscriminately good, as was this... Although it did spaz out quite well when after the tour we all actually went for lunch and had like a 3 hour lunch and started talking about so much wierd as stuff that it's not safe for me to write it here in case the CIA is still doing search for terrorists on google. But great day anyway, of course followed by knocking back a brew when I was done packing for tomorrow and Mendoza... Last night in BA, so legally, you have to go to the hostel bar and have a beer, it says so on the form you fill out when checking in, honest!
Before I finished I was enthralled by a game of beer pong and later a fight between Andersson Silva and some dude who got a full can of ass-whooping. Spent loads of the night chatting to the hostel owner about dark matter, the Higgs boson and physics in general. It has really been to long since I last did that, and she was suprisingly knowledgable considering she's never really studied it up until last month.
