Arrived at Uyuni, the home of the famous salt terraces. We are staying at a great hotel that serves the best pizza ever-yummy! And serves the best sangria ever-hickup! We were all picked up early the next day and driven to the famous salt terraces by 4 wheeked drives. Ive seen pictures of it but nothing prepared me for the beauty of the salt terraces. Miles, upon miles of flat terrain made of salt. The surface of the salt terrraces was covered by a thin layer of water which created an amazing reflection of the clouds, islands and of the 4 wheel drives as we were driven along the terraces on top of their roofs . It was awesome!!! We spent the day being driven along the mirror surface of the salt terraces, then taken to a small house made out of salt which was deep into the heart of the terraces which made it so isolated with miles of nothing around it. It is here that we spent a few more hours fooling around on the terraces and had a great meal, before being driven back to the hotel by the 4 wheeled drives. To enjoy a huge pizza-so good! So all in all an awesome day and definately one for the memory bank.
