What a beautiful place this was! Mountains and sea views, flowers everywhere and the hostel was incredible. We stayed at Casa de Olas for $15 a night - I cannot believe this place wasn't listed on lonely planet but it was beside the Naked Tiger hostel which was full so we said we'd have a look. It was absolutely beautiful (needless to say I was disappointed in the Naked Tiger - Big druggie vibe and people who thought they were great) I cannot rate Case del Olas enough, the owners were so friendly and their pet monkey was so cute. Drinks could be put on tab aswell as baked potatoes and Monday roast. We were treated like family and well looked after.
We originally came here to see what Sunday Funday was all about and it did not disappoint. We got to see an amazing hotel with infinity pool with blaring music at the bar. Prices weren't too cheap but it was a brilliant day. The ticket itself was $30 and you had to queue in town at 8am to get them! But all in all it was definitely worth it and I recommend it to all. Each hostel had its own shuttle service to the main town every 2 hours which was very handy. Downtown there were many cafés and restaurants and bars to chose from and at great prices. Taco Stop seemed to be popular! San Juan is definitely up there with my top favourite places so far.
