Where can I start, other than WOW! This morning, after a lovely breakfast we caught the 10am gondola to the base summit of Whistler. Look at the photos, they are amazing. The store was found, once inside I instantly saw a toboggan, it had to be a photo opportunity. It was one from the Olympics last year. All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer..... We are now relaxing on the Rocky Mountaineer, winding our way from Whistler to Vancouver on the next stage of our journey. Reclining in luxury in a domed carriage with sensational views of the scenery and of course mountains... Our two photo opportunities were Brandywine Falls and Cheakamus Canyon, again the photos will be uploaded at some point! It's time for afternoon tea now, cucumber sandwiches and cream scones to follow...

Finally arrived in Whistler after a further three hour journey from the airport through Vancouver! It's a beautiful place with fantastic views and mountains. Been and bought our peak to peak alpine experience ticket ready for morning. Have wandered through the streets soaking up the ambience of all that Whistler has to offer.... Spent a relaxing hour by the pool, now been up 24 hours though so starting to struggle to walk and talk. Think it's time to lay down in ...

The flight...It was a smooth, uneventful 9 hour flight, with some amazing scenery out of the window of Greenland, then the Rockies. They looked so close you thought you could touch them! Did think they might be a little rockier though. That John Denver is full of ....!Air Canada did us proud, boarded and left on time. Did my leg exercises on the plane, don't want DVT and a Vera growing! Decent food and drinks, what more can you ask for other than being teleported...
