At George's Chapel (Windsor Castle) - lies on the north side of the Lower Ward. Dates back to 1475 (under Edward IV). It is the spiritual home of the Order of the Garter and the site of a number of royal tombs and memorials.

Windsor Castle - finally made it. Thank goodness the rain has let up. The queue was soooo long. Decided to be a little sneaky and went online (thanks to iPad & 3G) and managed to book online. Kensington Palace - build as a royal home at the end of the 17th century. It has been the stage for the drama of the nations history, with private scenes of love, loss, heartbreak and happiness. Been in existence for 300 years, and has been a setting for the royal court, but also a seat of power and venue for personal rivalry and intrigue.
