Fountain of Trevi - erected for Clement XII. This shows at its centre the statue of Ocean riding in a sea-chariot drawn by two Tritons, into the basin below, symbolizing the sea.
It used to be a time honored tradition to throw a coin into the water to guarantee a return to this place, however there was no sign of any coins in the fountain, and the water was crystal clear(obviously fallen by the way side). Was beautiful all the same
