Wow I cant believe the last entry I made was in Veitnam... It has been a whirlwind trip, but time does fly when your having fun or so it seems!!! So a quick update then to tie up the last bit of my South East Asian adventure. To start I cant say enough how much the place impressed me! We moved onto Cambodia , visiting Phnom Penh first that introduced us to the beauty and sadness of Cambodian all at once. We experienced Cambodia's very recent history through an emotional trip to both the killing field and the genocide museum leaving me and the rest of the group almost speechless. To lighten the mood though we had the pleasure of spending a few relaxing days in Siem Reap. A cute town nestled next to the Mekong river that is known for the largest man-made religious construction in the world Ankor Wat. You could literally spend 3 days wondering around the 40 or so different temple's that make up the complex with undoubtedly Ankor Wat being the main attraction. We split up our meandering time with a visit to a local orphanage were we got plenty of time to revert back to being kids again, learning local games and songs.
A 6hr bus ride like no other, the bumpiest roads I am yet to experience to Thailand (The roads are apparently kept that way by an anonymous airline bribing an anonymous politician.. hmmm) and a quick stop over in Bangkok allowing the group to let loose again in the City lights. We head up to Laos next, I hear it is the most stunning and relaxing part of SE Asia so here is hoping !!
Love to all xxx
