New York.. The city that never sleeps has good reason not to. A quick run through of what was covered by lewis and myself; Central Park, Time Square, David Letterman Show, Limousine pub crawls, LMFAO, Pacha NYC, Private Limo Services home, New York Sports Club, Good Burger, Wall Street, Yankee rejection, Cheering on the god damn Jets, 3 wise monkeys, Staten Island Ferry, Hooters, Columbus Circle, Corner Bistro, Hells Kitchen, Webster Hall, Room Service, meat packing district, Rockefeller Centre, ground zero, Brooklyn Bridge, Madison Square Gardens, NY Rangers, Statue of Liberty.
Apart from all that we did pretty much nothing. Still catching our breath after our European slog i think.
We had really good weather our first week there. Kicking a ball around central park in singlet and shorts was an unexpected highlight for this time of the year.
The weather took a turn for the worse in 2nd week however, as did my health. We had some cracking nights out. Our limousine pub crawl was awesome. Our favourite club in ibiza's little new yorkan sister was fun aswell.
Was devastated not to see my Yankees play, my tickets to the 4th game in the series were refunded after they cleaned up the series 3 zip.
We tried to embrace Monday night football by hitting a local pub to watch the jets, unfortunately it was pissing down rain and the pub was empty but we still got into it.
On our last night we went to Madison Square Gardens, the self proclaimed 'best arena in the world' according to the MC. Big call. The Rangers were junk and lost but it was a cool spectacle.
Time square was unreal, massive billboards and cool shops. Residing on Wall Street for four nights wasn't a bad gig, and the view from the observation deck up top rockefeller was amazing aswell.
A final personal highlight was watching Lewis get rejected by the treadmills at the gym because he was too heavy for them! Too many big macs i guess. We both joined New York sports club in an attmept to diminish our beer bellys but the countless burgers we ate whilst in town probably didn't compliment our training.
We arrived in San Fran last night, pretty cold here at the moment. Were about to go and try scalp tickets to the Giants game.
To be continued..
