Good to hear that you are all safe and sound and that the storms have passed, sounds quite a novelty in the hostel, a bit like camping indoors! What a good thing the pub wasn't washed away!!

Hello
We have arrived in Newcastle and it's been quite a shock so far. Newcastle is starting to recover from the major storms they had. There are fallen trees in the road, blocked roads, and abandoned cars. Also the hostel has no electricty so we just have candles and gas stoves, it's all adding to the experience. There are no more storms now, just a lot of work to be done to get it back into shape.
We are going to have a look at a huge tanker which is now on the shore of the main beach, loads of people are taking pictures of it, meant to be quite a sight.
Speak to you soon, we are going out to the pub soon. All good here.

Hello all,
Hope you are ok now Jon!
Luke, sounds nice where you are. James noticed how close u were to Papa New Guinea - he said to go into the jungle and meet the Combi tribe- they are crazy dudes, but please be aware as they are known to eat people! Only a suggestion!

I'm fine I had severe stomach pains, had to go to hosiptal. Got to admit I was in alot of pain, they gave me morphine and had to go on a drip but I was out of hospital in 5 hours. I'm feel good now, I have to go for a scan soon then, I might have an other attach but I have to be careful. I have to cut the drink back, oh no!! Did'nt drink Thursday or Friday.
Working tonight which should be fun, me and Ollie are leaving on Monday going to Newcastle, Stu is meeting up with us in 2 days time, he has to work for another 3 days. Be in touch soon
