Went to book our overnight train to Phuket but they were booked up for days so had to settle for a bus. I broke the news to a very hungover very unimpressed Jenn!
Had to kill the day till our bus, said goodbye to Suzy. Just Jenn and I left from the tour now. Had a right trek to the bus office then had to wait 2 hours for it to arrive.... grrr.
Bus was ok, they put Avatar on for us to watch and we actually managed to sleep. There was only about 12 of us on the whole thing and all Brits. Shen we woke up one of the girls said a man had grabbed her leg in the night, looking for her bag and it's not the first time it's happened to them.
When we got off and got our bags from downstairs we noticed straight away the bags had been tampered with. My lock had been busted and literally every bit of my bag had been gone through. They even opened and rifled through my PAC a mac!!!
Realised later they'd got the Oz and Nz money that I had and £1 coin... Why?! They took one guy's birthday card, medication and cigarettes. Obviously the buses are completely corrupt and it's pretty much ruined my impression of Thai people.
