Arrived in Fiji to welcome singers just as you'd imagine. Had slight drama at the airport when my card wouldn't work in any ATM machine. Met my pick up from the hostel and they drove me there via an ATM that actually worked, thank god! They're so friendly and happy and even share around their drinks with me, Fiji style.

Arrived at Bamboo hostel and I quickly realise there's nothing here. Checked in to my pretty basic room.

My 2 nights in Nadi were uneventful. Had the homesick panic that I've learnt you get arriving in a new place on your own, no matter where you are. Booked my trip around the Fijian islands, doing 4 in total.

Tested out the beach in Nadi which is nothing special. Bumped into 2 girls we met in Australia so sat with them one night. Forgot the whole, hot country, drink water thing and wondered why I felt so sick. Doh. The people are so lovely and I can't wait to see the islands.
