Road trip day! Lisa and Amber had very kindly organised for us to go down do Mandurah for the day, which is about an hour south of Perth. After fueling up with plenty of car/boat snacks (mandatory of course) we set off to Mandurah accompanied with Lisa's gangster car mixes.

Amber's boyfriend Tim's parents live in Mandurah and they had planned for us to go out on thier boat and go diving! Once we got to the house we piled in the next car and headed down to the water. We stopped to get some air which attracted the water police over, (I blame Lisa, these things always happen when she's around). However they/we were distacted by a doplphin which came right up to the boat and was out of the water which was amazing!

We set off out into the ocean and the weather was really clear which made the ocean look even more blue. Lisa was loving life in her newly adopted straw sunhat as she kept telling me as we bounced our way out into the sea. Mike and I were freaking out a bit as it was our first dive since the PADI course which we had been spoonfed throughout. Also, the police had mentioned a previous shark attack that day, so that set us back a little too. However we manned up and kitted up and (eventually) jumped into the freeezing cold water. After hyperventalating a little we made our way down. The visibitly was pretty great and we got to see loads of new fish compared to before, and thankfully only a mini shark. It was so different to Koh Tao as the water was so cold and also the current was pretty storng so we kept being thrown about a bit.

Back up on the surface we warmed up on the boat and headed back to shore. In the evening we headed out to do some crazy golf. It was much more successful than our first attempt. Lisa was taking it pretty seriously (pretty sure she goes on her own to practice). I lost horribly but it was all good fun. We then grabbed some food and Mike finally got to have a plate full of meat which he'd been craving for the last couple of months due to the portions in Asia.

We then headed back to Perth with some more classy car tunes thanks to Lisa's fab drinving. All in all pretty amazing day!
