Lucy & Cherise's Big Adventure
Arrived at Puerto Madryn ready to see all wildlife. It is Patagonia, a lot more south of Buenos Aires so starting to get colder. We went on a day trip to Peninsula Valdes a nature reserve, famous for its whales and orcas. We unfortunately didnt see any but saw loads of loads of sea lions, seals and penguins which were amazing in themselves! Even saw an armadillo and a herd of llamas. Next day, another excursion to Punta Tombo the largest penguin colony in South America. Hundreds of thousands of penguins (mummy, daddy and baby). Kept having to stop and wait to allow the penguins to waddle along with their daily business. Did you know - penguins stay with the same partner for life and the male penguins help bring up the babies. If one of them dies, the other is likely to do so as well - now thats love - romeo and juliet eat your heart out! Went to welsh town (Gaiman) and had afternoon tea and scones - it felt so wrong! Ushuaia next stop (the end of the world - tierra del fuego)!!!!!
