Neehow!!!

We arrived Beijing on Friday am we are 8 hours in front of the uk and the current temp today (sunday) is minus 6 !!!!! Its very cold but dry we had to barter to buy some ngloves from the local market.
Its a crazy crazy place with lots of nice and cheap food costing around 3 to 5 pounds for a good meal with beer in a resturant.
The first day we landed on a food market and ate lunch for 80pence was nice nice !!!

Yesterday we went to the temple of heaven a beautiful building erected in 14th centuary- we took our time to explore this before heading towards shopping steet and coming accross the REAL china. There were seahorses and scorpians on sticks but apparently the locals dont eat these.

We visited the Great wall of china today there was a lot of ice under foot as we walked to the top but it was well worth the big climb - it was a feet of engineering marvel as my husband said !!!
tonight we went to a kung foo show which was a story told in dance about a boy growing to be a scollor chief of the monks in the monkery, put it this way when we visit the monestry in Japan I will be as quiet as a mouse they were fantastic acrobats amazing dancers and boy can they fight!

Having a wicked time very very cold but thats not putting us off our tour leader is lovely and everyone in the group is cool 2 germans 4 canadians 2 australians and 2 americans and 2 other english. We go to visit forbidden city in am and also tieneman square.

Toi tois just had 1 squat in 3 days so not too bad !!!

We leave to Xian tmoz evening on the sleeper train which apparently the standards are not too good- hey ho
