well i have moved again i know but it makes it interesting doesn't it? i arrived in venice this afternoon after deciding yesterday that i would come here (man i love that) and what a mission it was! getting to venice wasn't a problem but finding the hostel i booked what a mission. first off they give you entirely wrong directions mainly because i think they have confused right with left and when they are telling you that you have to go right they really mean left! and somehow i think i have acquired alot more stuff than when i left because my backpack makes me feel like i am carrying a 16 tonne truck on my back. although reaching the hostel was an enormous relief what a shock it was when they let me in. somehow i think the train i caught must have gone the wrong way and i have ended up in korea i swear to god i am one of a total of three westerners in the hostel and everyone else is either chinese, japanese, or korean (mainly the latter) it is crazy but kinda cool. two ironic things about the hostel for starters is there is a shower in the kitchen i must say that is a first for me, and the guy that runs it is a super nice chinese guy who lives in italy but doesn't speak a word of italian - how this works exactly evades me entirely. however, it is one of those quirky experiences that you could probably avoid if you really wanted to but if you did what would be the use in travelling. so i think i will stay in venice until thursday at which point i will then move on to i was thinking greece for what reason i am unsure but something says to go to greece. i was going to do the whole travel around italy thing but i want to go somewhere i have never been before and i know i have not been in italy for like 10 years but truthfully not much has changed it is exactly how i remember not that that is a bad thing by any means. before i go i just wanted to let everyone know that i hear birkenstocks in germany go for 29 euro each so anyone that i was going to get gifts for that will be what you are getting and mum be prepared for me to walk out of the airport with at least 2 extra bags and a shop full of birki's because that is a bargain!!! anyway i will again update in a couple of days. still no photos because alas i found a computer where the usb port is visible and working but the entire computers instructions are in korean (shock horror that is because i am using the hostel's computer surprise surprise) and it is damn hard to wing it when you have absolutely no idea but i am trying. love you all and wish you were here!!!!
