Arrive Sydney 2nd September 2003! Well we arrive complety jet-lagged and no where to go ! none of us bothered to book a B&B eventually we find one called wanders on kent...it was really nice ! but the fact that i had $40 and that was it things werent looking the best!!!!! a quick phone call to the bank and my parents sorted me out till i got a job. we were a little lost in Sydney after coming from a place so small where we knew everyone to end up in a big city where we knew no one well..... the hostel had a bar so we of course after a couple of days had our bum marks in our seats and the drink for an hour free on a Thursday was especially good we made a few friends in the hostel and i met up with my little bro who wasnt that little anymore! Scruffy Murphy's was our usual because it was kinda the only bar we knew at the start and it was near the hostel and best of all it was 24hr!!!!!'s we made good friends with the bar manager and found ourselves getting bar tabs and free food so it was all good :) then we all got jobs, me and juls in a call centre and maire in an Irish bar, the call centre was a piece of crap and we left after two weeks but we met loads of really nice people who we still stay in touch with ! Christmas in Sydney was brilliant, we went to bondi beach and had a fab dinner in the girls dinner in bondi. We were on the beach till 1.00 in the morning, as you can see from the photos! New Years was amazing aswell, me jul and lou went out early new years eve to meet michelle their cousin and we ended up staying out all day and night! the fireworks were incredible they had two full shows with a light show aswell.
