In this room there's a portrait of Edvard's great-grandfather, the Scotsman, Alexander Greig, who emigrated to Norway from Cairnbulg in 1770. He established a successful business in Bergen, exporting fish and lobster. Note the spelling change from GrEIg to GrIEg.
