Day 5 - Today we left Colombo (luckily) and caught an early train to Hikkaduwa. 2nd class was available on this train so we bought our tickets for 80p each. This train journey was much better as we had seats and it wasn't very busy. When we arrived in Hikkaduwa we looked at a few guest houses before we decided. Day 3 was spent traveling to Sri Lanka. When we arrived it was very odd, nothing we had every seen before! We arrived at the guest house after being picked up by a taxi from the airport. The guest house was nice but very quiet and seemed in the middle of no where! That evening we had an early night to prepare for the next day! Today we went to the Palm Islands and visited the Aquaventure Water Park. Being one of the first people there was great as there were no queue's, so we got around all of the park fairly quickly! After that we spent hours going around the park on rubber rings which was so cool, going up, down and around rapids for hours! Saying goodbye was the hardest bit! However, despite this we had a great first day in Dubai! Our hotel is lovely, not sure we're living the travelers life style yet but I'm sure we'll get there eventually! When we arrived at the hotel Pete was hungry.... as always! Preparation - With only 10 days to go everything is beginning to come together. Sorting out visas, first nights accommodation, transport and my bedroom... Sorting out what to take is the hardest part as I want to take everything, but only have a small rucksack to fit it in!
