Another gorgeous day here in Lithuania. Much refreshed after a good night's rest, though these duvets are not our favorite bed linens. Buffet breakfast at the hotel before 8:30 departure on our morning tour of the city. Combo walk/Bus tour led by Dalija, our Odysseys guide. The old Jewish quarter is nearby, and has commemorative plaques of the two town ghettoes. Saw the University, several churches of various flavors and the remaining town gate. Ended the tour at the KGB museum, which was appropriately gruesome. Back to the hotel for a beer at the bar, followed by a picnic lunch in the room from the local supermarket. Obligatory nap followed. Dalija is leading an informal evening tour at 5:00. Since yet more beer will likely be consumed, I wanted to get a head start on today's blog.
