Here I am, in Australia.
A new country, a new city... and still, the bloody computers crash when I try to view my photos!
But anyways. Here we are, in St Kilda. It's a pretty trendy place, lots of bars, hair salons, boutiques and European style bakeries. I was amazed by how expensive bananas are here - nearly $15 per kilogram! Found an amazing place, it does falafel and is basically a salad bar with loads of kinds of salad, and falafel, and no limit on how many falafel you can have in the salad. And dips too. It was lovely. I was feeling a bit rubbish and headachy before but the food helped.
I'm very tired. Really need to catch up on sleep, but not sure when I will manage to. The hostel seems quite crowded and lively and the room smells like sweaty feet. The flight over here left about an hour late because of "baggage count discrepancies". Uneventful though otherwise really. I'm getting used to flying. I am scared of heights but don't find flying a problem, luckily.
Yesterday we got a bus back to Auckland and spent part of the afternoon there browsing some shops. I managed to fix my backpack, as the waist strap buckle had snapped. It's doing pretty good for a 30 quid bag I bought about 4 years ago that's been to loads of festivals with me. I found replacement buckle clips in Kathmandu. I had no idea you could even buy them, but I guess it makes sense, not having to throw things away.
I'm that kind of tired where I can't really remember which country I'm in any more. I am also spelling things wrong. I have to go, running out of internet credit. Hopefully I'll have done something interesting before I next update.
