Today we went to Exuma! Our tour was in the afternoon, but our flight arrived in the morning, so we spent the extra time at a small resort. We swam in the sea for most of the time, but we had to dry off and eat before our mini bus came. We found out that the restaurant opened at 12, but our bus was at 12:30. We ordered burgers, but they only came as our ride arrived, so we ate on the go.
Our tour was on a boat, and when it came in, we hopped on straight away. There were about ten other people on the boat. Our first stop was the highlight… the swimming pigs! We fed them hot dog sausages, which was kind of strange, but they really love them. There were two piglets, and I picked one up. It was very heavy for a little guy. The piglets love cuddles.
We stopped at lots of cool islands along the way to the other attractions. We saw a blue hole, which is a hole that is very deep, and this one was right in the shallow water, about six feet deep, then plunging into several miles deep. We also stopped at the Iguana island. We fed them lettuce, and got to touch them. Mum really liked the iguanas.
About half way through the journey, it started raining. Well that's an understatement... It was so bad that we had to stop at a shallow bay, to wait it out. We jumped in the water, because we were getting wet anyway, and besides, why not? Our flight back to Nassau was delayed for four hours, and we arrived back at our hotel at midnight. We had a Crazy dinner of snacks at tiny Exuma International airport, which included popcorn, plain hot dog sausages without buns, and Fanta. Despite all this, we all had an amazing day!
