We arrived in bangkok on monday stayed in hotel asia for one night. went to patpong market that night til 4am and got a tuk tuk home for 50bht.. the driver was mad!! though most of the drivers are pretty crazy.. the roads are full of scooters- with upto 5 people on each scooter.. none of them wearing helmets! on some the adult is wearing a helmet but the child isnt which doesnt really make sense. the lady that checked us out of the hotel asia was called 'supaporn!'.. what a name! we travelled to phuket by minibus and saw an elephant on the way in the field next to the road.. it was huuuge! when we arrived we went into the sea-the waves were huge and very strong.. when we went for dinner the waiter gave us all a leaflet about how dagerous is was! we didnt step back in there. the next morning we travelled to phi phi island where we stayed at a place called long island bungalows for 2 nights. 600 baht a night. however the original bungalows we swere going to stay at were 500bht but awful!! holes in the floors, no fan, no electricity etc.. which is why we changed bungalows. after a lot of arguing with the thai agency we got most of our money back. had mozzy net in the room however still got eaten alive! when we were waiting for dinner a monkey came and sat at the side of th bar and took bread out of our hans- was so cute! we travelled by boat and mini bus to koh lanta which is where i am now. we arrived here yesterday-here we have aircon rooms which is heaven!! only 500 bht a night per room. the weather is glorious./. though perhaps a little unbearable btwn 12 and 3pm. the food is so cheap in thailand.. oonly approx 70-100bht a meal which suits me fine! we're hiring scooters later and hopefully going to a national park tomoro and elephant trecking. brads severly burnt so is staying out of the sun. the mozzys seem to love me, im getting bitten all over which is driving me mad! but having a wicked time here.. hope all is well with everyone. misss youuu alll xxxx
