Today we had a bit of a lie in and left camp at 7:30am! We bid farewell to Stephanie and Olaf and climbed aboard the minibus towards our stop over point on the way to Botswana. Firstly we stopped at the 'Amarula Lapa' we were given a taster...yum yum, just like Baileys but from fruit grown from the Amarula Tree only in Africa!! 5 hours later we stopped much to my (Sarah's) delight at 'The Shopping Mall of the North' now this is what I am talking about...... It does not compute in our head really what's outside and then what's inside. We grab lunch from the Sausage Saloon, since landing in Africa I have always wanted one. The mall is a happy place, and feels a lot safer!! Well it was safe for all off 2 hours as after lunch we went to the Polokwane Game Reserve and embarked on a game walk.... The next few hours we tracked Rhino ( see the photos) and watched as Zebras passed by. A few miles away was our stop over For the night 'Boma in the Bush" we disembarked and once again enter a fab log type cabin with ensuite swimming pool ( see pics). Much to our delight a jack Russell puppy helped us unpack and we entered the bar area....Wowsers it was the owners living room and was just immense! We ate well ( we will defiantly not be wasting away it is steak country!)
Retired to get ready for the longest day on the road tomorrow...
For info and for some sort of context were we are at you could drive for probably 10 + hours in any direction and it is wildlife land bush territory
