Hi
From Phi Phi we got the boat to Krabi which is on the mainland everyone told us there was nothing to do there but we wanted to visit just to see for ourselves.
We arrived on a very quiet boat which is unusual for Thailand and the txi driver was the most genuine we had come across it was nice to find.
Our hostel was really nice and very new we were in a 10 bed dorm and quickly got to know our room mates so we all went for dinner at the market. Krabi was quite cheap compare to Phuket and Phi Phi so you can tell not many tourists pass through. There is nothing to do but walk around the town so the next day we flew to Singapore as it was the cheapest and easiest option with the time we had left in Asia.
We got the MRT which is like the underground to our hostel which had great reviews on the website but was not great at all it was awful but we had no choice as we only discovered this after we had paid for 4nights there and Singapore is not cheap.
On the first night we walked down to the river and wondered round to get our barings Ashley had a sin$14 glass of wine which is about 7pounds!!!!! Her only one of the time we were there.
The next day after a bad nights sleep we went on an open top bus tour round the city getting off at some places like Orchard Road which is a massive street full of designer shops and shopping centres there must have been about 30ish. Marks and Spencers ia a premuim brand next to Louis Vuitton!!! Crazy.
We got stuck in a mssive thunderstorm at the bus station but luckily didnt get too wet and went for lunch at Hooters as they had a meal deal which included sweetcorn flavoured ice cream intertesting but I liked it Ash wasnt too keen.
Then we went to Fort Canning which is a park with exhibitions about how Japan took control of Singapore in WWII it was interesting and cultural experience.
The next day we were up early thanks to very inconsiderate room mates so we went to the Zoo, which was massive and took all day to get round. We saw loads of animals including elephants, tigers, lions, zebras and giraffes etc. It rained again only this time we were prepared with rain coats!!!!!! The first time they had been used since we left.
After the zoo we went to the Night Safari which they all seem so proud of saying how amazing it was but we were disappointed. There was very little lighting on the animals so you couldnt see them and no flashes were allowed on cameras. Also they mainly had animals we had already seen at the zoo and laods of deer which we can see at home.
The following day we went to Sentosa which is a Disney wannabe island near Singapore with a beach which we sat on for a few hours but it was too hot and rained again. We went up to a view point but the city looked very smoggy so we couldnt see much then we went back to our hostel to discover the 2 night receptionists alseep in our room in some guests beds.
We went for dinner in a food court as it was cheaper and ment we had a change from Mcdonalds or Hooters!!!!! We wanted to try a Singapore Sling At Raffles (where it was invented) but they were sin$30 which is about 15pounds so we thought maybe not.
Monday was our last day and we were both tired and were ready for a good nights sleep which wasnt coming that night as we had a flight. We walked around Singapore and saw some other sights we hadnt seen before heading to the airport to fly to Australia.
