Suffering from an eclectic mix of emotions as it's our last day! Weather a little better yesterday, so decided on a boat trip over to Waiheke Island and a tour around it. Unfortunately, the bus tour was spoilt a bit by a load of Chinese people who kept talking really loudly over the commentary. After a lot of complaints and 'sssh's' from other bus people, one woman was obviously unhappy about having to try and speak quietly and ranted on very loudly in Chinese, ...

Weather getting better. Lows of 21 last night - BOILING! Went up the largest dead volcano today, boat trip tomorrow to an island. Not long left..... :( x

Back in Auckland! Weather rubbish, but not as bad as Bay of Islands. Damp, cloudy and hot! Just got to our hostel, just waiting for Chris to do what men do (and taking his time as usual) and then gonna head out for some lunch and probably catch a movie or go to the museum. 3 days left! x

What a disappointing end to the trip. There is a cyclone coming in from Fiji that is bringing wet crap weather in until Tuesday! We are therefore probably not staying in the Bay of Islands now as we had decided to do as we can't do the beach and sail and sunbathe thing. We are therefore probably going to go back to Auckland with the tour and hang out around there and do shopping, museums and cinemas etc. We might get one day of sun before we go. Gutted! Tod...

Are now in Paihia, at the Bay of Islands. Unfortunately, we have arrived to cooler temps, grey cloud and a choppy sea, with the forcast to be not good tomorrow and they expect ourboat trip to be cancelled. Hoping we don't have this unlucky weather for our last few days in NZ! Us x
