Louise & Lucy's Trek: Round The World In 80 Days
Hello All!
We did our luging on Sunday - and looked a little bit like we were participating in the Wacky Races!
On Monday we went snowboarding on Coronet Peak. Really nice day for it, the view over Queenstown was amazing! Needless to say, we both came back with a number of new bumps and bruises and have only just started to be able to sit down again!!
Next day we headed to Dunedin (new south Edinburgh). We went on a wildlife tour - where we saw albatrosses, sea lions, yellow-eyed penguins and seals. We were not amused by the sea lions - apparently there arent enough females to go round - so the big daddies end up getting 'boyfriends'... yuk! What is it with sea mammals?! First the dolphins, now the sea lions!! The penguins were hilarious, we are sorry we cant put on a video clip! On the way back from the tour we met a female sea lion pup who wanted to play with us, she was just like a puppy!
The next day we visited Cadbury World - it was just like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The problem was that they kept asking questions and then giving freebies in the form of chocolate bars as prizes. Naturally both of us were excellent at answering! We have now gone up two dress sizes since we last saw you all! Be warned!
Went to Lake Tekapo the next day, which we decided would be a perfect place to get married - the chapel is very cute, but you would have to have less than 4 guests at your wedding! But there really was nothing else to do there!
Arrived in Christchurch yesterday - we havent been up to much apart from shopping!! We walked around the Botanical Gardens this morning. Apparently it is in the top three gardens to visit in the world. We would agree that they are very pretty - but maybe better in summer! Went out for a very nice meal tonight - the first one in 8 weeks! One of those places where you pay AFTER you have eaten!!
We go our separate ways tomorrow, sob, sob, but will keep updating the website as and when we get a chance! Photographs will go on in due course!
