Hi Son Just to let you know that we think of you all the time and miss you loads, but looking at your messages we are the only ones, aaahhhhhhhh. Anyway all is quite well here, Gran has yet another kidney infection, and seems to be loosing weight, which is quite a worry, she is going for more blood tests, but she is very down at the moment. Lee and Clare only have 5 weeks before the baby arrives and they are very excited, and a little anxious, Clare is looking really well and finishes work on Friday. Chris and Claire are ok and little Fin has got 2 teeth at last, he is into everything and very cheeky. He can also pull himself up on the furniture now and can climb the stairs as well, so we have to watch the little monkey all the time, but he is still as gorgeous as ever. Patrick and Michelle are coming up for the weekend of your birthday, and I bet she is quite big now as her baby is due on 30 October. We have been trying to put a sloping roof on the kitchen and have done nothing but laugh, but poor dad is really suffering with his hands and it isn't finished yet. Tammy has been chasing helicopters down the garden lately I think she thinks they are birds, and now she trys to chase aeroplanes that are some 30 thousand feet up, but to date she has caught nothing. Anyway son Dad is on nights and bed is calling so I will love and leave you, hoping you are well and we will talk to you soon. Love always Mum Dad and the Minda xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Your Mother (again)
Hello Son, It's me again, just to let you know that all is ok here in HOT HOT HOT Loughborough, It has been really very Hot the last week or so, so we are glad of a bit of rain today, although it is still very warm and airless. The gardens are desperate for water, and the lawns are going brown. I have to go out every night and water all Gran's plants etc, so I will get a bit of a break tonight. We have been to Cole's birthday party today at Lynroys, it is hard to believe that he is 4 already and will be going to school in August, but he didn't get into Holywell and is going to Boothwood. Jo was gutted as was Cole, but despite an appeal to County Hall, he still didn't get a place. I am very busy at the moment because the kids have finished school now for the Summer Hols. I set up an obtacle corse in the garden the other day, but they found it too easy, so they had to do it again carrying a glass of water, it was so funny watching them on the trampoline and trying not to get wet, but revenge is sweet and I probably got wettest. Tammy has been in the tunnel but instaed of going right through it she tries to turn round, she rolls over and over in the tunnel trying to get out. We have it on video and will send you a copy as soon as poss. Anyway Son, time to get washed up and go and see Gran, Hope you are well and looking after yourself, don't try and work to many weekends like you did the other week, cos I will murder you if you kill yourself and I'l never speak to you again. (ha ha) Love you loads, talk soon. Mum and Dad xxxx woof woof From Tammy

Hi Daniel son,
Thought it must be about time to send you another message although there isn't much to tell. All is well here in Loughborough, the weather has cooled down a little (thank goodness) It has been very hot and sticky, and we have had quite a few sleepless nights, poor old minda has been really lifelesss and too quiet. She was chasing a poor little toad round the yard the other night though, so she has perked up a bit. We have been looking after Ellie"s fish while they were on holiday, and I called him Fluffy, which I think is a perfectly good name for a goldfish. One of our fish is not too well, he keeps spiraling round till he gets to the surface, then he bends in half and sinks to the bottom, Megan thinks he is suffering from epilepsy. (can goldfish have epileptic fits ?). We have got the dvd recorder now, and went to buy some disks from the market the woman said the ones we have bought will be ok as long as the player has + and - , we hadn't got a clue what she was talking about, so we bought them anyway ( we didn't want to sound thick). Dad took me to the print room for lunch, and I had french onion soup and a sandwhich, I didn't eat all the soup as it was a bit peppery so when Sally came to clear the table and asked me if I didn't like it, I told her that I didn't realise it had onion in it, and they should tell you whats in the soup before you buy it, she told me the clue was in the title and the fact that it was french onion means there is onion in it. Eventually she realised that I was only joking, but it took her while. Thats another place we cannot go to for lunch again. Megan and Beth have been on their induction days to Garendon School and their form teacher is Mr Yaxlee, and their Maths teacher is Mr Lay. Beth seems quite happy, but I don't think Megan is too keen. Jacob keeps asking if you are home yet, he can't wait for you to get back because he is so lonely. Kevin has been made redundant and is hoping to get a job at the University. Gran and Grandad send their love as do the Bros and their families, Clare has only got 9 weeks before the baby is due. Gran has had a really nasty chest infection and has been quite poorly, but I think she is on the mend now. We have been doing meals for Grandad, as Karen and Tony have to Canada. Fin is crawling really well now and is trying to pull himself up on the furniture, he is very lively and cheeky, and still adorable. We love that little boy so much and are really looking forward to grandchild number 2. Anyway Dan time to get to bed so I will say goodbye for now, hope you and the others are all ok and keeping well and happy, talk to you soon, can't wait to see you. Love to you all Mum and Dad xxxxx

Ok so maybe I should get in touch too-though really I just want to say hi to Al- ha ha! (only joking boys!) Funnily enough I've just come back from a driving holiday too-though we were in Germany for three weeks with a tent! Anyways I won't bore you with details, suffice to say it was a sunny, scenic and sausage-filled experience! No good wines though so watch out Al and Geoff, you may have a little visitor soon sniffing after a glass of something grape! Now it's just back to the old dissertation and job hunting for my year in Beirut, planning to fly out in early October so I'll be marginally closer to you boys! We've also just moved house so it's pretty hectic, living in a proper house well out of student-ville for a few months which is a nice change! Anyways promise to email as soon as things calm down a little!! Life sound wonderful as ever with all which is great to hear! Love and kisses all around, Sa xx

Hello you guys, thought it was time I sent a message - really enjoy the danny humour and cant improve on that.
We've had our first week back at work after the trip a la francaise - christ what a culture shock that's been, but the tan is being preserved through plentiful stocks of body butter, and we both still look relaxed and well. We had the best time - 9 days in Brittany and 3 in the Loire valley. We visited many vineyards, bought loads of really good wine, and generally had a fab time. the car was brilliant, and consumed all the luggage etc without a sigh, then went on to motor for 1300 miles+ without noticing it.
Phil and Kazia looked after Chat, Dos and the monster feline - he and Cushla would play happily together - and everyone survived the experience. I brought Kazia a bottle of something rich and red back, which we are going to share soon and look back at our boys adventures in Barkby brook - looking forward to that. Did you know that Rich is doing his Masters at Loughborough in Nutrition - he graduates next month. My part-time should start on 7th July, but work diary already demands that I go in - this is going to be easy!
will try to call you sometime this week-end - love to everyone.

Hey everyone, thought i'd post another quick message while i'm away from the slave factory that is work. all is good in NZ, the mountains tall, the lakes are clear and the air is fresh and cold! and when i say cold, i mean absolutely fooking freezing!!!! everyone is well, Aarons working hard and is making my life a misery with his constant nagging, Cat is all good and is also sick of Aaron, Cushla (Nigel for you jacks) the puppy is getting big and has moved from chewing furniture, to chewing people... just ask aaron who has suffered two dog induced injuries... the big wuss! haha! good to hear from you Ma and Pa, and was really good to speak to you the other day, i also managed to talk to Nan and Grandad who were suprised, but happy to hear from me!! which is nice. Work is going well, i still have the two jobs, although the door work has taken a back seat at the minute as i'm working a lot of hours for Whitcoulls at the minute. Still, its keeping me ticking over, and food on the table. I've met loads of great people here, Vinne and Amanda from the World Bar who supply me with a lot of laughs and occasionaly a few free drinkies. The Whitcoulls people are all really great, and some others i've met by getting myself around (not in that way... ) make living here very fun!Anyway, get in touch everyone and share the news, that includes you Phil, and of course, the traveller who no longer travels, Ro... missing you pair of bumbleclarts!!! haha. anyway, gonna get off and eat my roll, kindly provided by Aaron in exchange for money. big love to you all, and i'll speak to some of you soon.
The Mother
Hello Son, Thenx 4 ur phone call, it was great to hear from you, and to catch up with all the gos. Gran was in tears when she told me that you rang, she said that she got all emotional when she had to say goodbye, and she wishes you would come home so that she could see you. All is well here in Loughborough were the sun shines all day, it only rains in the evenings when we are in bed, it never gets cold, and nobody tells lies. !!! Michelle and Dean went on holiday last week, and dad got a phone call at 5.30 am from Michelle at the airport to say that Ellie had left Jelly Belly ( her bear ) at home and was all upset because if we didn't get him to her quick he would miss the flight and Ellie would have to suffer a 2 week holiday without him. So poor old dad had to get up, go and pick up Jelly and dash him up to East Midlands airport in time for the flight. I am pleased to say that he made it on time and the bear went to Minorca with a happy little girl....Minda comes with us every night now to see Gran, and she is so used to it now that we can't get out without her. The bloke in the end bungalow has an ornament in his garden that looks like a dog digging in the garden and the bloody stupid dog nearly wrenched my arm out of its socket trying to get to it. At night when we leave Grans she gets down 2 steps then stops to have a good look round, and will not go any further until she is ready and then she won't get in the car....the dog training has really paid off eh..She nearly had a frog the other night, we had to drag her in and give the poor frog time to escape. Lee and Clare have ordered the babys pram and are all set (nearly) to welcome the latest addition to the family.....they can't wait and neither can we. Michelle and Patrick came to see us last week and they are very excited about their baby which is due on hallowene, its a little girl and Patrick says 1 witch in the family is quite enough, needless to say he got another good hiding. They are both well and send their love to you. Fin is beautiful as you know, he is getting very cheeky, he can crawl (like a catterpiller) and is into everything, we love him so much and you will fall in love with him all over again when you get back. Chris and Claire send their love as do Lee and Clare. We havent rented out your room yet, but you won't recognoise it when you get back, its got a floor and everyfin an dat. Anyway son it's tea time and I have to go and slave over a hot ready meal, so goodbye for now, talk to you soon
Love Mamma and Pappa and Minda and Fluffy the gold fish,

Danny
Hey everyone, Just thought i'd post a note letting you know how things are over here... f*ing great! haha! no, i'm well and so is posing jons, but we're missing everyone there. The house is great, but damn expensive to heat, and were all working hard trying to earn some bread money. I have a job in Whitcoulls and on the door at a late bar called 'The World Bar' which is good fun. Meeting lots of people and trying to have fun in between shifts (but usually just end up in bed asleep). Anyways, i'm on my lunch break and i can hear the bell ringing for the staff muster on the parade ground, so i'll have to go. Thanks for the message ma, and keep in touch! glad everyones ok over there, give my love to everyone and give minda a wrestle for me! haha. I'll spend some time emailing the rest of you delinquents soon, sorry i've not been in touch much, but lifes been hectic! love to all, and speak soon. Big Jons
MUM
Hi Dan, Hope all is well in NZ, and that you aren't missing us too much (thats a joke). Dad has just gone off to work (nights) and Minda is going mad because ther is a bloody hedgehog sitting at the bottom of the steps outside the conservatory watching her, and she wants to get out to it. We have big craters in the lawn from a couple of weeks ago, she found a hedgehog outside and dug trenches round it to stop it escaping, we are thinking that if she digs any more nice deep holes like that we might as well turn the back lawn into a swimming pool. At last we have some sunshine after a couple of weeks of rain rain and even more rain. We all went to the zoo last week and Fin loved it, every time he saw a monkey or any kind of ape he shouted Dan Dan, I think it was the hair!!! Gran and Grandad ask after you all the time, and send their love as do your Bro's and their families. Nothing else to report here, Clare is ok and getting quite big now. Their nursery is beautiful and everything is ready for the baby, but they are finding it quite a struggle at the moment as far as money is concerned. Fin is very active now and has grat pleasure from turning the DVD player on and off and playing with the computer keyboard, he is growing fast and is quite a little monkey, and still a joy to all. Can't wait to meet the new baby in September!!!! Patrick and Michelle and their bump are still ok to nolw, and hopefully coming to spend the weekend with us in a couple of weeks time.Anyway son must get to bed now, we have spent a lot of time in the garden today trying to make it half reasonable and I am KKKKKnackered. Love to all especially you son, miss and love you loads Mum and Dad xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Geoff
It's still bloody ironing andthere's a distinct lack of decent hifi. Apart from that it looks Ok but the view from the flat over Bedford Square has its own attractions other than Ce walking past!
