Oooooohhh!!!

Here I finally am in my final destination of my trip, staying in a lovely little hotel just behind the Obellisc and just off the Av de Mayo. and Im just up the road from the picture above!!!

Well, the first thing to say is its much colder down here (well`I guess I have travelled quite far south!) but for me its THE perfect weather- blue, blue skies, bright sunshine and not too hot! the next thing to say is that the people here are SOOOO nice!?I honestly thought that with it being the anniversary of the Falklands that I would have to watch my step and pretend to be Dutch or something but no need! these people are probably the nicest Ive met so far on my travels. Ask one person some directions and they will ask everyone around them until they can help you! even on a nightmarish night out where we couldn't remember the street where we were staying (strawberry-blond moment!) we had the nicest taxi driver in the world who switched off his meter until he got us home safely - how many London cabbies would do that for you? Julio - you`re a star!!!

I`ve done all the touristy things now, had a Tango lesson and been to a Tango show (how do they move their legs so fast!), eaten a fantasic steak! and been on a great city tour taking in La Bocca area where the houses are made of nothing but corrugated iron and painted brilliant colours! and of course the Bocca Juniors stadium (football here is peoples passion and a game is seen as the highlight of the week!). The night life seems to suit me as well, with people not heading off out to eat until 11pm, then going out to the clubs at 2am and getting in at 7am!! that means come a Saturday afternoon the shops in the city centre are dead as everyone is having an extra long lie in.

 Well tonight is my last night in B.A before I jet off tomorrow to Santiago Chile. I still have some blog to update and few pics from nights out but for now byeeeeeee
