Just about to leave Bangkok on a 13 hr train to Chang Mai...Than god it's air conditioned, or so they've told us but it seems thai people although v nice have a bit of a tendency to lie! Random stuff like saying places are closed when they aren't etc etc. We have also been informed that the tuk tuk's are controlled by the thai mafia!

 Tomorrow is a day in Chang Mai for more sightseeing, followed by the dreaded trekking trip through rice paddies etc and sleeping in tribes, weeing in a hole in the ground...I am petrified! I hope next time I write it will be to say that it was fantastc...although it may say I ran for 7 hrs to get back to civilisation!

 Saw the Grand Palace today which is just unbelievably beautiful and Wat Po- the temple of the reclining buddha which is enormous! Pics sooon I promise xxxx
