I think I promised in my last entry to talk about my day surfing....well suffice to say I was not up on the board and riding the waves after only 3 hrs in the water, but I did try and I had a fabulous time. We spent most of the time being knocked out by the boards and landing on our arses, but a great way to spend an afternoon. Was probably the first time we have spent so much time in the ocean in Australia, although i doubt the dudes who were teaching us could have actually saved us if anything had attacked lol. One of them said 'radical' about 50 times. I think that says it all really :-)

Next day we did a few things, I attempted to upload photos unsuccessfully...we also went up to the Cape Byron lighthouse for a quick 4 km bush walk :-) We got the overnight greyhound to the wonderful city that is Sydney. Our last greyhound...it was quite an emotional moment, we have spent something stupid like 30 hours on buses in the last 3 wks! Arrived this morning, feel like I've been drugged. Did nothing much, food shopping for noodles (what else!?) and bought my Australian souvernir....a lifesize wombat! I haven't named it yet, so answers on a postcard please :-) and we've booked loads of stuff....just to make you jealous we are going on a neighbours tour and night out in melbourne, driving the Great Ocean Rd, tomorrow we are doing a cruise round the harbour,and on Thurs we see the pop princess herself...Kylie!!!! I cannot wait. 5 nights in Sydney is going to fly by. Our hostel is gorgeous for a change, and life is very happy...I'll keep you posted xxxxxxxx
