We started the day bright and early, getting up just before 6.00am, much to the delight of our fellow dorm sleepers, who hadn't arrived in until just before 4.00am (luckily they had to be up early as well!). Our bus departed at 6.50am and it was a long, boring, tiring day travelling back up to Auckland. We made a few stops en-route for a stretch of the legs, the longest stop being in Taupo for 30 minutes where we managed to grab a sandwich from the petrol statio...

We had a bit of trouble getting up this morning, we were still so tired and had a lovely nights sleep. We kept turning round to see each other still in bed and thinking - "if she's not getting up, yet, I'm not!" We eventually managed to drag ourselves, blurry-eyed, out of bed just after 8.30am (so still quite early!), showered, changed and left the hostel (Fat Camels) about 9.45am and headed straight for the 'Stray' office.
